Dahlia's are tuberous perennials that are considered half hardy and may need lifting, planting in a sheltered location and/or mulching in order to over-winter successfully. Their long flowering period (generally July till the first frost) and the generosity of flowers has made them worth the effort to gardeners for centuries.
one of the most unusual flowering dahlia's I have ever come across, a true "cactus" type flower of bright yellow (I am not usually a fan of yellow dahlia's) on a large strong growing plant with green foliage, sometimes the first flush of flowers can be hidden a little amongst the foliage, but not for long, so don't let that put you off. a real oddity and beauty, perfect in a exotic display
