Dahlia's are tuberous perennials that are considered half hardy and may need lifting, planting in a sheltered location and/or mulching in order to over-winter successfully. Their long flowering period (generally July till the first frost) and the generosity of flowers has made them worth the effort to gardeners for centuries.
This is wonderfully dahlia, that really packs a punch. this dahlia played an important role in the exotic garden in 2018 as it was the first plant people would have seen when entering the garden and it did not disappoint. beautiful, rusty orange/yellow flowers with red/orange backs to the petals top mid green foliage. adds a good splash of vibrant colour to a border. not to large so would work well in containers also.
